OUR STORY
The San Francisco Bay region is renowned for its beauty, innovation, and diversity. Our commercial developments mirror the driving forces behind the economic growth of the Bay Area, with space for research and tech tenants.
Wareham Development is committed to the long-term economic and environmental vitality of our communities. We work closely with city and state agencies to ensure that each project provides maximum benefit to its surrounding community. Unlike many developers who build projects only to sell, we retain ownership of the majority of our developments, many of which have defined the thriving technology corridor between the Bay and Richmond-San Rafael bridges.
The Wareham vision encompasses the spark and promise of small companies on the verge of growth, and large corporations whose fortunes span the globe. We are proud of our associations with all of our tenants and feel privileged to play a role in their success.
LEADERSHIP
The Wareham approach is to foster mutually beneficial, long-term relationships with our tenants. We are a dedicated team of professionals who pride ourselves on our ability to be agile and decisive. Our principals are personally involved in every project, crafting creative leases to support business growth and managing our buildings to ensure ongoing efficiency. OUR TENANTS
Wareham Development is proud of our long-term relationships with the vibrant community of institutional, large, medium, and small world-class science, research and technology industry trailblazers. Many of our tenants have grown with Wareham since their inception. The Wareham tenant base includes divisions of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, UC Berkeley, UC San Francisco, and Stanford University. Our campuses are located minutes from each other, from major university research centers, and from other collaboration opportunities.

PHILANTHROPY
Wareham Development, as a community developer, has been giving back to the communities in which we develop and beyond for nearly 50 years. It is a privilege to contribute to many worthwhile organizations who continue to make strides locally, nationally and internationally in the Arts and Communications, Innovative Sciences, Research, and Education. Our goal is to create energetic and vibrant public-private partnerships with goals that are executable, scalable, and do good in the long run.
Wareham Development is delighted to announce a $1 million commitment to Berkeley Public Schools to close the opportunity gap in STEM Education.
I believe this is a partnership that can be a model for other California school districts — leveraging Career Technical Education and summer and “extended day” State funding to close the opportunity gap in STEM learning and supercharge post-pandemic learning with support from private sector funds. —Rich Robbins
